Minnesota Insurance Claim Assistance

When we say we’re going to handle the claim process from start to finish, we mean it.  The only time you’ll be involved is when the insurance company needs something that only you can do like initiating the claim.  Throughout the process, we will do everything we can in order to minimize the headache and inconvenience.  We’ll help with filling out paperwork, contacting the adjusters, clarifying the scope of the job and then we will work off the insurance companies approved estimate.

 

Here is a brief summary of the process once your property is damaged by a storm:

1. We inspect the exterior of your property for damage that would be covered by your homeowner's insurance.
2. Once insured damage is determined, we help you file a claim with your insurance company.
3. Your insurance company will give you a claim number which you will need to give to LEI so we can include it in your file.
4. We will meet with the insurance adjuster at your property and go over the damage together so everyone has a complete understanding of the work to be done.  If the adjuster does not agree with the work we propose, we will work with them on your behalf to make sure that all necessary repairs are covered.
5. After your insurance company approves the work, we will proceed with the materials selection: siding, shingles, etc.
6. All insurance checks will be sent to you.  You will need to forward the checks to us as they come in to cover the next phase of the project.  Your first check will cover the materials we need to order for your project.
7. Once the materials come in, we will complete the repairs to your property.
8. Upon completion of the project, we will send the insurance a final invoice so they know the job is finished and that it is OK to release the remainder of the funds to you.
9. This last insurance check will be used for your final payment to LEI.
